MEI's Ambient and Cryogenically Ground Rubber Process:

Cryogenic:

  • Employs liquid nitrogen to freeze (-320 F) and embrittle rubber. The cold rubber is fractured into uniformly and finely ground mesh powder.
  • Does not lose or change any of its chemical or physical properties.
  • Imparts no impurities to the rubber being ground.
  • No possibility for surface oxidation, due to the nitrogen grinding medium.

MEI's Cryogenically Ground Rubber Process:

  • Does not lose or change any of its chemical or physical properties.
  • Imparts no impurities to the rubber being ground.
  • No possibility of surface oxidation, due to the nitrogen grinding medium.
  • Production quantities are 5,000 lbs. to truckload quantities.
  • Packaging: Low melt bags, Super sacks, Gaylord Boxes, and Kraft bags.

  • Tires: Tire treads, tire innerliners, tire bead construction, off-road tires
  • Automotive Components: Brake linings and pads, motor mounts, bushings and gaskets
  • Plastics: Rubber blended into plastics for automotive and industrial applications
  • Building & Construction Materials: Roofing, coating, paint, adhesives and cement
  • Industrial Rubber Goods: Molded, calendared and extruded goods
  • Deck Coatings: Slip Resistant surfaces, texturing
